The Rainbow of Your Light

Hanging out with strangers, but still with you.

Was it a wrong turn?

A bad decision, a glitch in my character

I took my eyes off of heaven

And I ended up lost, but still with you.

I am lost with all these strangers & you were no longer the same

---I was no longer myself.

All I remember was I saw you slipping away & in a panic

---I ran to you.

Then I realized I haven't been following the right person-GOD!

But now I need to go back. Will you be with me?

This relationship is a tug of war-usually with me at the other end,

but I am tired of pulling.

My soul aches; I am going back where it is peaceful for my soul.

I miss the warmness is my heart,

The glow in my children's eyes.

The holiness that makes chill bumps on my skin

& covers me with the presence of GOD,

I need to feel whole again.

~

The glory of GOD please shine through me

I beg of you, Lord, send Your light & let my heart be the prism,

and my life be a rainbow

I want to shine in this dark world

Weed out all my bad habits & let the fruits of Your spirit bloom

Let the words out of my mouth be of truth, love, & Your word

Let the choices I make be wise

Let Your Spirit (word) guide me

When I look into the mirror let Your light be as blinding as the sun

The Glory of GOD please shine through me...

then came my first poem...

The Rainbow of Your Light

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:18
